Our client, a well-known research university, is actively hiring an HR Generalist to join their team. This role will be hybrid and on-site 2x a week in Chicago, IL.

*This is a 2-month W2 contract!*

In this role, you will be responsible for performing a range of activities to design, implement, and monitor a variety of human resources programs. You will assist with recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, offsite career events, pay discrepancies, and generating reports. This team is looking for someone who will build relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Resolve HR administrative issues
• Generate reporting using Workday
• Assist with HR activities for employee training, communication, engagement, and wellness
• Support the hiring process internally; develop job descriptions, interviewing, reference checks, offers, and conduct orientation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
• 3 years' of experience working in Human Resources
• Experience with Workday is required
• Experience processing requisitions from start to finish
